In parallel to the V Team senior design project, two team members: Austin and Cy worked on recording data for the ME 430 course at the University of Idaho.  The information gathered in this class helped the NASA V Team select a shape, and provided a prototyping opportunity.

The probes shown below were tested in free fall and two gyroscopes were used to determine an angle versus time profile for pitch and roll of each shape.  Statistical methods were then used to justify the best performing shape.
