Meet The Team:

Mark Rogers -- I was born in Kailua, O'ahu, Hawai'i in July of 1984.  I began my studies at the University of Idaho in September of 2002, enrolling in the Biological Systems Engineering program. Beyond my education here in Idaho, I have also studied in Heidelberg Germany.  My passions in life include traveling, languages, athletics, guitar and creative art.  My formal education encompasses subjects in such disciplines as engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, economics, material science, German, environmental science, and political science.  Upon completion of my studies here at the University of Idaho I seek to enroll in a masters program in Bioresource Engineering; as well as a second masters in Global Systems Management.  I hope to one day form an international career pertaining to both resource management and resource economics.  Some life goals that I have set for myself include: Traveling to every continent, becoming tri-lingual, sailing across the Pacific Ocean and developing/building my own property and house.  I am honored and thrilled to be apart of such a noble project.  The knowledge and friendships encountered along the way will carry on with me well into my future.  I hope that the work done here on the project, as well as the work I will do in the future, will lend its hand to make this world a better place than when I entered.

Diana Rudeck--I got interested in the project last year when I got to observe some of the experiments with the moringa seeds. I have always been interested in humanitarian issues and by working on this project we can help others with the knowledge and skills we have gained over the years.

Kali Smith--[Fairfield, Idaho-Senior in English]--Technical writing drew me into the project.  As I got into the project, I saw how wonderful it was.            Kali Smith

Nick Mendenhall [Lebanon Oregon, senior in Mechanical Engineering]  When I first heard about this project it really sparked my interest.  This allows me to do what I do best, which is engineering, in a way that changes the world.  Outside of school my passions are freeskiing and fire fighting.
