Project Outcomes

The primary goal of this project is to create a affordable, easy to use SIDS Monitor.  This monitor should be able to detect the onset of a SIDS Event, and notify the parents with enough time to take action.

The monitor should be relatively small, and easy to setup.  When setup, it should not present any hazard.  Specifically, there should not be any wires in the crib area.  All electricity in the crib will be kept to a minimal level, such as no danger is present.  The device will be water resistant, and should be able to be chewed on.  Additionally, the device should be durable enough for a number of concecutive months of use in the crib environment.

 In addition to the monitor, a report will be available detailing the full design of the project, as well as a simple manual for the operation of the monitor.
