The SleepSound Team
Project Manager - Lloyd Daugherty 5th Year Computer Engineer A Bit About Me I'm originally from Southern California. I'm presently engaged to a beautiful woman who I plan on marrying June 27th, 2006. My hobbies consist of playing around with my computer, fencing, playing my guitar, and considering going for a bike ride (sadly my bike is in California). I got involved with the sleepsound project because I felt that I could use my engineering skills to make a difference, and maybe even save a life. Colby Austin 5th Year Biological Systems Engineering Student
I was born and raised in Twin Falls and have currently been living here in Moscow for the last five years. Iwas drawn to this project because of my interest in the medical field and it allows me to do two things that I love- engineering and helping people. Outside of school I enjoy mountian biking, skiing, guitar, and working on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River during the summer months.

Jennifer Hasenoehrl 4th Year Mechanical Engineering Student I'm from Lewiston, Idaho and enjoy linking science and math to everyday life and its problems. I plan to attend grad school to earn a biomedical engineering degree in the future.
Bart Semmler 4th Year Mechanical Engineering Student I was born in Colorado, but was moved to Alaska when I was 6 months old and have lived there ever since. I came to Idaho to get out of the state for a little while and because I heard nothing but good things about the engineering program here. I play a lot of sports; primarily soccer. I currently play for U of I's club team and on an intramural team as well. I've had to have surgery on my knee twice which sparked an interest in human anatomy and physiology, almost causing me to go into the medical field instead of engineering. That is where my interest in this project developed.
Team Secretary - Jeff Otto 5th year electrical engineering student.
Aside from spending the school year in Moscow, my perminent residence for the last 15 years has been Kuna Idaho. A few of my interests are photography, camping, and physics. I am happy to be involved with the sleepsound project because I feel it is addressing a very important social need.
Chris Curtis 5th year Biological Systems Engineering student.
Born and raised in Pocatello Idaho I am an Eagle Scout who has lived in Idaho my whole life but love to travel. I have gone to the University of Idaho the past four years as a full time student and will be graduating this spring. During the past five summers I have done commercial construction working primarily on schools and hospitals and have worked on every stage of the construction process from the ground up. I have learned many valuable tools and met some very interesting people during my summer jobs. They have also reinsured the fact that I need a more mentally stimulating and higher paying career to fit my wanted lifestyle. The SIDS monitoring device was a top project pic for me because of its interdisciplinary qualities, practical application, and its direct positive effect on the lives of its users. Out side of my studies I enjoy soccer, skiing, kayaking, golfing, backpacking, shooting, and just hanging out with friends and family. |
