A. Existing Technology
         
1. Monitors that track vital signs through applied voltage and impedance fluctuations.
         
2. Light emitting sensor to detect oxygen level in blood.
         
3. Wireless heart rate monitor
         
4. Motion sensing pads that can even detect breathing
    
B. General Info
         
1. We may want to have two or three methods of monitoring. 
          
2. There is a great consumer need for a monitor that has a low rate of false alarms
         
3. Look out for pre-existing patents
         
4. We’ll need to check into the possible requirement for meeting certain codes associated with designing medical equipment.
         
5. Frank Albert is our contact for the sleep center here in town.
         
6. Susan Otem? Is our contact at Gritman Medical Center. Check with her about who to talk to about SIDS.

     B. Interview
          1. Tentatively scheduled for one of the two following times
2:30-3:30 Tues. 19th.
2:30-4:00 Thurs 21st.

          2. Chris will keep us updated on correspondence with client.
         
3. Three most important parts of the initial client interview.

1. Establish a relationship with client.
2. Ask an open ended question, get him talking a lot.
3. Don’t assume he knows a ton about the technical aspects or even what he wants for that matter.

     B. For next week:

1. Bring notes on the individual workshops.
