We decided that it would be beneficial to replace the almost entirely analog control scheme with one that was digital.  Our reasoning was that having a digital foundation would make further upgrades or expansions to the system go much smoother.  In addition, a digital setup allows for more precise adjustments to the speed, maximum flexion and maximum extension.
