There was one major complaint about
the remote that we received from nearly every medical professional we
interviewed. The cable that connected the remote to the base was hard
wired in, meaning that if any portion of the device was damaged, the entire
unit would have to be replaced. To keep this from happening, we replaced
the hard wire with a standard 9-pin serial connection. Now, should any
part of the machine or remote be rendered inoperable, that part can be
replaced as quickly as plugging a monitor into a computer. |
