February Update

February 12, 2013

The beginning of the semester has been busy for the Vandal Hybrid Race team. The suspension is completed with the car fully sprung, a bit of machining to the engine case as been completed, and the HV battery box is being built (special thanks to Janicki Industries). Next up is wiring, engine tuning, brake lines, and eventually a body.

The fall semester wraps up with a shapshot day for senior design. The chassis, steering, front suspension, and engine are all completed and assembled. The brakes, rear suspension, pedal assembly and cockpit are soon to come. Although the semester has ended, there is still much work to be done. Over Christmas break some machining will be done, but the team will hit the ground running in January.

Have a Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
