A soccer application for iOS
Sponsored by Aziz Makhani

Purpose

The goal of this project is to create an application for iOS based upon the Kickshot boardgame, which teaches the basic rules of soccer. This is important because the application will expand this game's audience.

KickShot is a simulated soccer game designed to educate, entertain and engage players of all ages. The illustrated cards, using endearing animated characters, highlight specialized techniques in soccer, such as header, throw-in and bicycle kick. KickShot also introduces referee signals for specific infringements, such as direct free kicks, penalty kicks and offsides. The game involves playing the cards and rolling two dice to move the ball and score goals.

The goal of this project is to create an application for the iOS based upon the Kickshot boardgame which teaches the basic rules of soccer, this is important because the application will expand this game's audience.

Aziz Makhani, the owner and creator of KickShot, volunteers as a soccer referee and one day realized that the youth, as well as some of their parents, have trouble understanding all of the rules. The solution to this problem is this card and board game that we offer today.

KickShot's purpose is to entertain and educate children and families on the rules of one of the most popular sports in the world, using single-player electronic games and multi-player card and board games. KickShot will contribute at least 25% of its proceeds to organizations that provide children with athletic and educational programs.
