•Receiving a set of drawing/schematics, a technical report, and a working prototype produced by your student team.
•Supply a mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical design project that a team of 3-5 engineering students can design, prototype, and test in less than 1000 person-hours over an 8 month period.
•Offer an appropriate financial donation to support the project
•Answer questions and provide regular feedback to the students throughout the entire year
•Offer advice for course improvement through an end-of-the-year survey
•Attend final project presentation during the Design Expo held on the University of Idaho Campus in Moscow
The intent of the senior design course sequence is to teach students how to apply their math, science, and engineering knowledge to solve open-ended problems in response to needs of an external customer. The University of Idaho Engineering Capstone Design program is always seeking to establish new connections with industry, government, and non-profit sponsors.
