The traffic controller that we will use to interface our project with the existing hardware is the ASC/3-2100 series traffic controller made by Econolite which uses the National Transportation Communication ITS Protocol, or NTCIP.

Team LiteBright's goals are the following:

* Create a pedestrian signal that uses the IEEE 1451 standard.

* Create a pedestrian count-down signal that uses the standard.

* Create a pedestrian signal button that uses the standard.

* Design a distributed sensor network that uses only power.

* Communicate with an Econolite traffic controller.

* Issolate the Traffic Controller from the distributed network.
