µPower Management System for Maximum Power Output from an Energy-Harvesting System

The purpose of this project is to design, verify, have fabricated, and test an integrated circuit to maximize the power production of an energy-harvesting system such as a micro solar cell, piezoelectric generator, or microbial bio fuel cells.

Team µMax is sponsored by the VLSI Sensors Research Group (VRSG) and mentored by Dr. Suat Ay. The design team consists of three seniors from the University of Idaho: Valerie Barry (Electrical Engineering), Anthony Kanago (Computer Engineering), and Ben Sprague (Computer Engineering).
